Sega of Spain retracts Sonic’s anniversary comments

Sonic Paradise (a Spanish Sonic blog) was making comments on Sonic Anniversary and retracted their statements. Here is a translation from Sonic Stadium:

On the last day of Gamefest 2010, some board members attended the event Sonic Reikai to realize that this time Sega’s booth was in charge of a woman, and that the statements to the press about the game had changed.
Also confirm that is indeed Urretabizkaia Izaskun female (probably a she), the official in charge of the said retracted earlier claims that “could not” say anything about the next Sonic Anniversary. What is striking however, was not even consulted directly by the specific title.

Sonic Colours Wallpaper

UPDATE: It’s up!
Our good friends at SEGA provided us with some exclusive Sonic Colors wallpaper for you guys to download yesterday.  It’s a slick background.  It doesn’t end there, though.  Comments by Retro member Solaris Paradox and staffer Gene inspired member angryzor to create this visualization for Windows Media Player.

  • Solaris Paradox: “Looks like a bitchin’ Media Player visualization effect. =V …No, seriously.”
  • Gene: “If anyone is feeling ambitious enough to work on it as a visualizer, by all means.”
  • angryzor: “You shouldn’t say such things, it makes idiots like me waste their evening.”
This visualization, according to angryzor, is in its Alpha stage.  We want to download this when it’s done!

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 MEGA DRIVE

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 for SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis

As I heard from Sonic Retro, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 is now on the game console that the original Sonic game was for, the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. Very fake! This was made by “Barry the Nomad”. It was made on a special competition so that people could their own versions of that game.
